Waters sports include windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, fishing, and sailing. The pool features a lagoon-style pool, an oval pool with children's section, and a freeform children's pool. There are two, 4-person spa tubs - one beneath a stone waterfall and the other bordered by rock walls.
If you want to venture outside of the resort, a snorkeling trip to Catalina Island is a huge favorite and highly recommended. Your tour (not included in the price) includes a 1-hour bus ride to the boat dock in La Romana. Once you set sail, there are drinks on the boat, an hour stop for snorkeling, and finally you reach this island which is nothing but miles and miles of beach. Enjoy an excellent lunch (and more drinks), bask in the sun for a few hours, and do a little more snorkeling. Then begin the journey back to "civilization." |
